As I woke up this morning it was with great terror that I found the cage door open and nothing inside of it. It seemed as someone had unscrewed the screws on the hinges, something that left me really confused. I rushed down and found my mother making breakfast; she knew nothing of my new pets so I tried to look as If nothing had happened.
She smiled at me, and said happily -Hi doll, you know what, I saw the strangest little things sitting on the leafs of the oak tree when I was fetching the mail. They were so neat, all shiny and golden, I wonder what they were, I have never seen them before. I shall ask your father when he gets home. I almost choked on my orange juice, - Um, Ill have a quick look. I blurted and ran out of the kitchen. The oak tree was not really far from my house, just down a slope just by the river but I seemed as a small eternity to run down the little path.
I was so happy when I got there; there they were every one of the little critters, I would have imagined that they would be a bit harder to find, being only something like 0.6 inches big. I really need to find a new cage for them, they seem to get smarter every day, and I thing that they are learning by watching me work in my workshop, since yesterday I replaced a old hinge on one of my cages, and today they had done the same work, except that they did not put the hinge back again.
I like them, but the +fave is really for the story! Wonderful story!
